Music, Stories, Crafts, and Fun

FREE activities! Scroll down and click your child's age range for sound clips and musical learning activities from a Kindermusik summer camp.

Inspire your child's love of learning in only five lessons. In a Kindermusik summer camp, blow music bubbles. Play parachute and kite games. Make yard art from a glue jar. Sing. All these summer camp activities—the music, stories, and crafts—are designed to nurture your child's natural curiosity, one that eventually draws her toward learning new words, new numbers, and new big ideas.

Plus every Kindermusik summer camp provides a set of At Home Materials:

Literature Book: Children learn best through repetition, which means "read it again, mommy."

CD: Music boosts memory and a child's ability to learn new words.

Special Materials: A duck-shaped mirror, a lyric poster, or "go outside" ideas for you and your child.

For the Newborn to 1½-year-old:  Busy Days and Peekaboo, I Love You!
For the 1½-to-4-year-old: Zoo Train!, Creatures in My Backyard, and Creatures at the Ocean
For the 3-to-5-year-old: On the Road and Confetti Days
For the 4-to-7-year-old: Tell Me a Tale, Around the World, & Near and Far

”Busy Days” (newborn to 18 months)

“Busy Days” sets your baby’s day to classical music. With a little more Tschaikowsky in your “Twinkle,Twinkle” repertoire you’ll discover new ways your baby benefits from the classics as you both develop an appreciation for the world’s most respected music. Each lesson features new activities and songs you can sing for all the places you go together – the store, the playground, the doctor and more!

“Creatures in My Backyard” (18 months to 3 years)

Give your child something to sing about in her own backyard. Be the flower from the "seed's" perspective. Run and jump in rain puddles made from hula hoops. Snack on whole wheat mini-waffles dipped in honey, just like a real honeycomb. Shooreal flies and sing "Shoo Fly."

“On the Road” (3 to 5 year olds)

Relive your childhood, with your child. Every song is likely to revive a memory from your summer's past. Play Eye Spy and find shapes in the clouds to pass the time. Take imaginary trip to vacation destinations in a bus named "Van Go."

Family Time - “Here, There, & Everywhere” (Bring the whole family!)

The five sub-themes center around different family outings: a visit with a friend, an outing at the park, a trip to the city, an afternoon at the aquarium, and a day on the farm.

“Around the World” (5 to 7 year olds)

Say hello in five languages when you visit a new country each lesson: Germany , Japan , Africa, England , and Mexico . Play the native instruments. Drape sheets over cardboard boxes and sing over the German mountain tops. Toss peanuts on the floor and bring good luck to one's home in this Japanese custom. Send messages in Nigeria with "talking drums."
